Marketplaces
From The Contingency Market
A marketplace to enable a blogger's readers to pay them a penny for each post the blogger makes is currently in development at 1p2U.com.
A marketplace to enable a musician's fans to pay them a quid for each single the musician releases is in prototype form at QuidMusic.com. This doesn't currently utilise The Contingency Market, but will do in due course.
A completely generic marketplace called the Digital Art Auction has been theorised and prototyped, and may also one day be implemented to use the Contingency Market.
There are several other, quite independent websites that operate on similar principles, such as Fundable.org and MicroPledge.com. These utilise their own mechanisms, but could be re-engineered to utilise The Contingency Market instead.
Once fully operational, anyone is welcome to produce their own marketplace. The Contingency Market will charge no commission - though in accord with the principle that gave rise to it, commission will be invited, e.g. for specific features.
