From The Contingency Market

One or more contingencies where if one succeeds, has the same effect as if the conditional events succeeded.

Note

Pre-emptive contingencies do not invalidate or supercede antecedent or collateral contingencies. Antecedent contingencies must therefore also succeed before any pre-emptive contingency succeeds.
